Take Me To The River (TMTTR) is a Memphis soul, rhythm and blues revue featuring William Bell (2017 Grammy Winner), Bobby Rush (2017 Grammy winner), and Charlie Musselwhite (2014 Grammy Winner) sharing the stage to perform classics and new TMTTR collaborations and more! A live performance, TMTTR is based on the award-winning film and record that brought together multiple generations of iconic Memphis and Mississippi Delta musicians to record a historic new album that re-imagines the utopia of racial, gender and generational collaboration of Memphis (Stax, Hi Records) in its heyday. The live show is backed by an all-star Memphis band, The Hi Rhythm Section and The Stax Academy Alumni Band , with music director Boo Mitchell, plus Academy award-winner Frayser Boy and Al Kapone.
